Background
The Grisons-based hardware and garden centre DO IT was in a transitional phase and needed short-term external support to continue all marketing and communications activities. The initial focus was on the renovated reopening of the Chur branch. As the mandate progressed, additional communication priorities were added, including the Christmas season as well as seasonal themes such as the spring flower markets.
My Role
- Ad interim takeover of all marketing and communications
- Planning and management of communication activities across various topics and seasonal phases
- Conception, editorial work, and coordination of content for different channels (social media, newsletter, print ads, radio spots, sponsorships)
- Communication support for the reopening in Chur
- Development of messaging and campaigns for seasonal priorities such as Christmas and spring campaigns
- Marketing planning for the entire year
- Coordination with internal contacts and operational execution of all marketing activities
- Preparation and handover of marketing and communications work to the internal successor
Conclusion
In September 2025, the handover to an internal marketing professional took place, bringing communications back in-house.
